Our Design Process
How it Works
1. Request a Quote
The first step is to make contact with us and briefly let us know how you wish to work with us. By submitting our ‘Get a Quote’ form, we will be able to provide you with a customisable quotation that will define how we will work together.
2. Consultation Meeting
Following the approval of the quotation, we will schedule our first consultation meeting at our studio where we will get to know you and your vision for the design and style you like. After the initial meeting, we will start working on 2 options of furniture layout plans, supported by a mood-board and references.
3. Review of Floor Plan
The floor plan options will be presented during a second meeting, where we identify the best option (or a combination of options). The final layout is put together and any proposed structural alterations will require planning permission – you can opt to work with your architect or with us.
4. 3D Visuals
Following a continuous discussion about your preferred style, colours and aesthetic, we confirm the final furniture layout and proceed to work on 3D Modelling and technical documentation. During this phase, we will keep you updated with any key design developments to ensure that what we propose aligns with your vision.
5. Presentation of Final Design
The design is ready and you will join us again at our studio for a presentation of the 3D visuals, the full technical package and, a selection of proposed materials and samples. All the documentation will be presented in digital and printed format. An A3 booklet is prepared for you to keep and use with the contractors and suppliers, as a guide to achieve your design
6. Finding Suppliers
Based on the technical documentation we will now prepare Bills of Quantities that will enable us to go shopping and request quotations from various suppliers and contractors. At this stage, we will work with you to identify who will work on the project and refine the design to reflect any requirements that depend on the suppliers.
7. Site Work
During this phase, we supervise the works to ensure that the desired level of quality is achieved and that the design vision is being adhered to. Our assistance will be in the form of weekly or bi-weekly meetings on-site.
*Depending on the size of your project, you may prefer to engage us as project managers to help you coordinate the stakeholders and make sure that all contracts and documentation are in place, all contractors are on time, assist in managing the budget and resolve issues that frequently occur in such projects.
8. The Final Touches
Now that all the finishing works are done, some final touches will go a long way by styling the interiors with accessories, soft furnishings and layers of textures. We will assist you in sourcing the items and placing them in the right place.
